Four market-leading companies, each specialising in materials handling and processing equipment solutions, have partnered to provide differentiated and unrivalled product portfolios. The move allows the unified brands to further build on enviable track records of delivering innovative solutions to global customers.
The vision of Chicago-based private equity firm, May River Capital, was to create two platforms – Automated Handling Solutions (AHS) and Advanced Material Processing (AMP) – through which to promote the collective brands of Spiroflow and Cablevey Conveyors for AHS, and Marion Process Solutions and Kason Corporation for AMP.
In the case of AHS, Spiroflow is a global manufacturer of material handling equipment and provider of control systems integration. The company has achieved significant growth in both the US as well as the UK, where the business was founded and maintains one of its key facilities. With installations in more than 50 countries, Spiroflow’s technology is known for its safety, efficiency and reliability, serving some of the most demanding material handling applications. Cablevey is a global specialty conveyor manufacturer that designs, engineers, assembles and services tubular drag cable and disc conveyor systems. With customers in more than 65 countries, the company specialises in moving materials for food/beverage and industrial powder processors that seek food-grade conveying performance with systems that are clean, fast, energy-efficient and cost-effective.
AMP’s platform is no less impressive, with Marion being a leading producer of industrial mixing, drying and integrated material handling solutions for more than 85 years, and Kason creating sifting, sorting, drying, cooling, and particle reduction solutions for 65 years. Both companies are heavily involved in creating process solutions for a variety of industries, including food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical, mineral, biomass, cannabis, plastics and more.
A highly successful combined showcase at the PPMA show at Birmingham’s NEC in September, saw significant interest in the new partnership and their united capabilities.
May River Executive Resource Group member, acting CEO of Cablevey and Executive Chairman of AHS designate, Brad Sterner, said:
“Both companies offer a unique combination of turnkey material handling and processing solutions. With AHS combining the material handling systems of Spiroflow and Cablevey Conveyors, and AMP integrating the material processing systems of Kason Corporation and Marion Process Solutions, the result is two unrivalled platforms that deliver integrated core competencies and market leading product portfolios to customers globally. We look forward to increasing market share in our served global, high growth end markets.”
